Just to confirm, There shouldn't be any issues hanging a 100cm (umm39 inches, or thereabouts) Deep Octa off the front of a D-Lite4 IT ??

Cheers,

Austen.

I have a dilemma, I am planning to get pro globe for my bxri and have NO idea where I can get them on ebay. I've been doing my research on it and found that you can get it somewhere but couldn't find any in stock right now.

2nd dilemma, I want sync it up with my flash and wondering if it's a good idea to buy 2 sky port to sync it up with my sigma 530 DG. What should I get? or do? or is it not a good idea.

Thanks,
Wilson

2nd that.

I have an issue with my Skyport transmitter. When sitting on top of the camera, the test button will fire the lights no issues, but it won't work when firing the camera. Have tried it on 3 different cameras, none will fire it.

And ideas what could have happened- was working one minute, not the next. Nothing has changed setting wise- just a bad transmitter??

That's definitely my worst nightmare. I would have to purchase it either from overpriced Canada or ship it up from US and have to pay those extra fees for shippings and stuff.

I just can't rely on bad triggers anymore. I've dealt with cactus v2s, v3 or v4 or whatever and they're just not that great and I would want to have something more reliable and versatile (and compatible with my bxri if possible)

But honestly, Marlfox, do you think it's the shoe cord from flash to trigger that's causing the problem?

I love my Elinchrom lights, but loath the skyports.

I just placed an order for a replacement transmitter for one that took a crap after 18 months.

My last experience was turning it on and having the status light go solid green. No amount of resetting, dorking around, begging, kicking or swearing helped. (I have, had two transmitters). My other experiences have been missing fires that at times seemed to resolve if I shut the lights down and turned them back on. All my issues have involved triggering, not power adjustment. Just to give you an idea that it's not a particular light, I have 2- Ranger RX Speed AS pacs, 1 p- BRXi500 and 2 - DLite4s.

I know multiple skyport owners that have the same problem. On location I'm triggering with Radio Poppers and using the skyports for power adjustment. Both my Skyports have exhibited problems.

Elinchrom really needs to address this quality issue.

Well, the PW's can't control power by 1/10 stop, so if you lights have that ability you've got to go with the Skyports.

Is this some kind of back drop in the BG or a studio?
