Jesus christ i was just in his office talking with him 2 weeks ago, seemed his usual self. Shocking.

It's an odd feeling when some you just saw passes away.

Yeah, the last time that happened to me, at least it was a month. But hell, 12 days. Can't believe it. His son Simon will most likely be the successor and i while still mourning, i know he will runs things with the same integrity and hopefully the same enthusiasm as his father.

Daughter has a musical coming up, so she needed a headshot. Headed to coast for mid afternoon shot.

Used Quadra, Deep Octa on a boom with only white reflector, and 4 stop ND filter to get DOF wanted.

Thanks, Sigma & Mike.

Was my second time using ND w/flash for portrait shot. First time, there was very limited color shift w/ND filter. This time, there was a significant shift in the color after placing ND filter on. Have you seen that occur, too? Is this due to IR?

I get that on my ND as well. She is wearing a white shirt, so I would just drop the eye dropper tool for WB in lightroom right on it and see what comes out.

It looks a tad red to me.

Thanks, Sigma & Wind:

Just tried the eye dropper tool and it does remove some of the magenta / reddish tones. Will remember that for next time.

Also, just ordered the Xrite Passport. Shooting ambient light and Raw, have been able to get around using a target somewhat, but I can see with strobes / ND filters, this would be critical. Lesson learned!

Thanks for advice, guys.
