Thanks Scott, what would you do with those black fill cards? I'm still experimenting, I'm a newb. :)

The black cards and gobos take away light, so your not getting bounce and more controlled light

Yo guys!

Quadra Lithium. Charging light on the power supply shows green after charging. I then unplug it all and check the battery status (on the front of the battery) and it shows only 3 bars! I turn the charger back on, and it starts charging again showing the orange light on the power supply?!

Any ideas?! Battery has only been cycled around 6 or 7 times since new so it's had little use.

Thanks. :D

I own a DSLR, some lenses and some lights.

Do all the lights light up when fully charged? an LED could have burnt out.
What the LED on the pack read, does it show full charge?
Did you store them in a mid temp as recommended in the manual?

Where you doing your standard maintenance of using a battery system?
You know you should charge the battery every month if used or not used.
You should also plug the pack together and let sit on every month to keep the capacitor up.

Hey Scott! Yes to all the above haha! Pack shows green, front of battery led shows 3 bars (all lights are working), then when I plug it back into charge, the pack goes back to orange and it carries on charging to full capacity!

I would just take it out and pull some shoots using it and get the battery down and then recharge. If it still does the same thing I would contact elinchrom.

Has anyone tried HSS/Supersync with YN-622 on an Elinchrom Ranger RX Speed? A friend of mine is getting clean images with 1/8000s, but he uses cheap china flashes and I guess they burn slow enough.

I just tipped over one of my rx600. And where the inlet socket is now bent. When I tried shooting with it, it still works. But it only work at full power. I can still power it down with my sky port, but it adjust to the highest power right after I lower it. Do you know if I can fix this myself or I have to send it in to have it fixed? And anyone know about how much it would cost?
