Sorry for the poor quality of the images, but hopefully they will show the mod enough.

It's simply the swivel mount that is replaced by a D200 grip head, just remove the standard one and make the hole slightly larger to fit the bolt from the D200 grip head.

The standard mount is sufficient, not heard of anyone having it break. But i just like the added security, but mostly the faster and better grip you get with the D200 grip head.

Well duh!! Now I see what you’ve done. Great mod for sure. Thanks! I’m looking (still) into an Eli Direct 190. The mod pictured is for the indirect then??

Yes the mod is only for the indirect litemotiv. The Direct 120 and 190 has it's own heavy duty bracket mount.

The direct 190 is not something you set up in a minute, and it will require some serious space.

Ok. Yeah I know... my main spot has 12 foot ceilings by 17 feet wide at the narrowest. Kinda tight. But also eyeing it for indoor location fashion type work too. Might need to get the smaller one too.

Question. I see you use that large square indirect. Hate/Like/Love it..?

I have the Octa and the Square, love them both. Use the Square for food, products etc. It's like having your own portable window.. Octa is used mainly for portraits or when I really need a large light source.

C&C always welcomed...
On my images, of course, and on my words as well--as long as it's constructive :).

3 Elinchrom lights, an Eli 17” BD up front and a couple strip lights in back.

Just to wake this thread up.. :-) An old D300 and 18-200 glass doesn’t matter very much.
