Nov 14, 2011 22:57 | #1 Hi all, I have just brought a 55 - 250mm 4-5.6 IS lens and when I am using it with the IS on it is quite noisy, is this normal? I have a 18-55mm lens but I haven't noticed any noise with this one but I'm not sure if that is because it is much smaller. I intend to ring the shop tomorrow about it and see if I have to take it in but would be most grateful if I know before hand if it is normal or not as it might save me a phone call Canon EOS 60D • EOS 6D | Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM • EF 35mm f/1.4L USM • EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM
