My next lens should be

a canon 35L or a 100L 2.8 Macro?

I will get both sooner or later, but i'm having a hard time deciding between the two. I only have one wedding left this year, but its in a small area, but I do want a macro lens for ring shots.

I'd start with the 100L since you have the 35mm range covered. 100L gives you macro and nice one-person portraits.

Thats what i'm thinking, but I am loving the 35L no matter what I will have both before 2012 tho

Personally I have both, but i'd get the 35L first if i were you.

35L is a lot more versatile for full body portrait and group shots, whereas the 100L macro is mainly just for closeup ring shot....

Not sure about how good the tamron is for portrait @ 75mm...

Your Tamron 28-75 can function as a macro lens, I believe it's even designated as such. I don't think it does 1:1, but it has a very short MFD. Go with the 35L, you won't regret the decision.

sell your tamron and get both of them!

100L 2.8 macro here as well. I've had one of the beasts for about 5 months and used it on a 550D and 7D and recently got my 5D2. Its a damn good portrait lens as well as a macro and using it with the 5d2 produces excellent results.
