The foamers where out talking trains and everything under the stars at the local VIA Rail station, and I was busy shooting trains on these last few warm nights.

Good exposures on them. Were you able to get some with some light still in the sky?

Nope. Most of these arrive from Toronto after sunset at this time of year. It is roughly an hour ride from Toronto, so they leave there at around, 5 ish, 6 ish and 7ish westbound and arrive here well after sunset these days, as sunset is at 5 here now.

I can't run around taking photos all day everyday, until my ship comes in, at which point I am heading to the airport.

Looks like they had some of those horrid yellow lights around. Your shots came out very good given the conditions.

And lets not forget all the stray light bouncing around in a city. Sometimes we'll get cars pulling in or out, right alongside the lower shot location. I am standing right beside my car when I shot the second shot. There are actually house and a yard in the background, so you need to balance out what might get picked up on camera too.

There is another station down the line, but the one ticket agent there freaks out when ever anyone shows up on the platform with a camera. Kinda sad, as I'd like to shoot there more often, as its an interesting looking building. There is a downtown station in a large city, but I have to figure out how to overcome the dog fencing around it, to get a good clean shot with the city as a backdrop.
