I have yet to receive legit response to my posting trying to sell a high end Canon HDV. The following was the latest response to me saying a face to face meeting is the only way I will sell the camera.

Hi,
Am sorry i wont be able to meet with you and pay in cash due to the
nature of my job. Paypal is very fast, safe and secured so that no one
will be scammed. Am buying the item for my son schooling abroad
(Nigeria) for the completion of his project, and the postage fee will
be added as promised. You can easily setup paypal account on
www.paypal.com (external link) so that you can be able to receive the payment. you can
easily send me your paypal email address.
I will be waiting for your reply asap.
Thanks

Yeah, right. How about I send the camera FIRST and then you can send the phony money. And Nigeria of all places. What school, SCAM U?

My God man! You're depriving some poor student in Nigeria the use of your camera and because of your callous behavior this lad will probably end up as a street beggar in Abuja. He'll wear a sign around his neck that reads "A Man in Colorado did this to me" as he stands on corners begging for Naira in his tattered clothing, hungry and tired from the constant abuse of passerby's throwing camel dung at him. You should be ashamed your behavior in this instance.

Holy cow, the same guy has the same issues about my furniture for sale in FL. And I recently replied to a *local* sale of a camera at a very good price only to get a canned response that the seller had recently moved but would ship it to me. Don't they ever give up?

Well, I guess I'll have to live with guilt for the rest of my life. This poor kid in Nigeria will probably end up at an Occupy Something Somewhere and blame me for his inability (unwillingness) to get a real job.

You have to have thick skin to use Craigslist. Common sense and decency pretty much go out the window. I ALWAYS request LOCAL pickup only. When I'm selling, I don't drive further than the closest supermarket or starbucks. Therefore, I don't waste my gas for a no-show. If they want something shipped..then they can find it on ebay.

Wait.. I get emails from time to time about a Nigerian prince with tons of money. Maybe they can get together and work something out. :)

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

I won the Spanish lottery, 375,000 euros. Funny thing is that my wife also won the Spanish lottery as well for 375,000 euros the very next day.

I had a Nigerian contact me to sponsor him in the US and his plan involved me having a passport as well. When informed I don't have a current valid passport he dropped out of contact. Not sure what his plan was but apparently I didn't fit into his plans! Oh well another day another scam to defuse.

Ok, where was that site that people agree to the terms, then send them a box full of trash COD?

Scambaiters or something like that. Funny stuff there.
