Had a load of fun on Sunday at Pukekohe for the first round of the NZ V8s.

Suffered from heat haze, and a poor quality long focal length. So was limited to do mostly boring pan shots, and a few shots from a distance, which just came out horribly bad quality.

Thanks guys.

I did shoot more front on shots, but mostly with the other cars. The only good shots in the GT3s, were the pans. :(

Funny you should mention that, here I was scratching my sunburnt head thinking my longer shots should have been better - then Voila! there's the answer. No wonder Ken's shots are always much, much better than what we've just taken - he's in the Uk!

;)

Nice stuff Wazza, but what are you talking about lacking a good long focal length?
Your 400 might not be 100-400L quality, but its pretty damn good. Or did you use the Sigma all day?

So long and thanks for all the flash

I was using both, and used Duncans 100-400L for a few shots. Haven't worked out which are which just yet.

Now that's a compliment. :)

I'll have to give the best quality, full size shots to Fabian Coulthard. Doubt he'll give me a drive in that GT3 however.

I think you mean to say "Sell the best quality, full size shots to Fabian Coulthard".

Its not like he can't afford it

Should have seen the Porsche race drivers, girlfriend club. Talk about a blonde club.
I should be jealous.

He doesn't know of me yet. My team leader at work, her son, is best mates with him. So I'll forward my images through him, and see if he likes them at all.
