Hi

Photo binders with 12 x 12 (300 x 300) pages seem to be very common. I was given one as a present. With acid free sleeves, post binders extenders and spare sleeve packs they would seem to be a very good idea.

I had a look in Photoshop Elements 8 and it even has the ability to create photo collages at 300 x 300 as a standard page size option.

So, why then can I not find a (UK) supplier for 300 x 300mm or 12 x 12in photo paper? Printing a double sided sheet or even back-to-backing 2 x single side sheets would seem to make a lot more sense than mounting individual prints on a backing sheet. Am I just not looking hard enough? -?

Obviously one solution would be to print on A3 or A3+ paper stock and trim to size, but it seems like an awful waste.

Any suggestions gratefully received

I'd say that's a fair question, but I don't know how practical it would be. As it is, a 12x12 portfolio book is good for inserting prints at either portrait or landscape orientation, handling 8.5x11 paper (or 8x10) as well as an 8x12 print. But, well, likie René says, if you really want 12x12 using a 13" roll would be less expensive than the 13x19 sheets.

Thanks both. The 13" roll sounds like an idea to follow up. Not sure whether I can use roll on my Canon Pixma Pro 9000 Mk II, but if nothing else it would let me trim less to waste. Trim then print the cut sheets.
