idsurfer Cream of the Crop More info | Jan 08, 2012 09:26 | #1747 I am seriously considering trying this camera...Question, do people use the outer focus points? I am used to the 60D 9 cross-type AF points. Am I going to freak out or is the AF system something people ultimately get used to? I know there is a TON of discussion all over POTN about this. Thanks for any thoughts. Cory

CameraMan Cream of the Crop More info | Jan 08, 2012 09:40 | #1748 I started with the outer focus points for the rule of thirds but whenever I reorientated the camera, I had to change the focus point. Now I just keep it centered and recompose the shot by moving the camera. Photographer

Especially if I dont have a lot of light and I need to have a lsrge dof. So am I hearing that the outer points are useless? The focus/recompose thing doesn't work too well. Especially with large apertures. Cory
