Two shoots from school concert with 28-300L @ 300mm, ISO 3200. As it's my longest telephoto lens, I don't have much choice. Some motion blurring were unavoidable.

w/17-40 and Lee filters. Re-edit of older photo. Played with some exposure blending from the RAW file. Considering I suck at photoshop I think it turned out OK. Nice shots everyone!

question for you 5D2 owners.would i be upgrading from a 1D Mk2 N if i went to a 5D2? i shoot a lot of wildlife, with higher ISO for flight shots, things like that(action). also, i don't do a lot of printing.

Very well done! Thank you for reintroducing us all to the advantages of using older, and in so cases, disregarded lenses! I have seen this done previously, but it seems like a dying art, like adults eating oatmeal! I had elder vivitars, but i think or thought they couldn't adapt without slamming the shutter? Thanks again! -Americo

FYI to all 5D2 (and 7D) owners.

If you have a Really Right Stuff "L" plate from your old 50D you might want to know that it not only fits the 5D2 like a glove but it also fits the 7D. I just found out when I got my new 5D2!!

The only problem I see for you is if you would be doing a lot of high speed shoots, you may want to look into the 7D as the FPS is pretty much DOUBLE that of the 5D2. IMHO.
