It's not the equipment they are using, it's the positions of the shooters. They are shooting at each other

There is nothing wrong shooting video with 60D's just as long it's not hand held and they got their focus correct, when subject is stationary, it's easy, moving, like the reception or walking, better know your range and good at keeping the focus up.

Audio, I hope it is being recorded with a recording device and sync in post. And with plenty of light like this, kit len would be ok, but I would not use it.


The video with 60D is great but no way I'd use the 18-55 kit lens, and no they did not have any recording device so I can imagine the horrible audio considering the windy beach as well. Also, only one was shooting video, the other two were shooting photos, the guy probably switched to video for this speech, but he was shooting mostly photo with the 60D and kit lens. I saw their photos, just horrible. Somebody said he can work magic with a XT and kit lens but I strongly disagree, you can't do a good, not even a decent job on a wedding with such equipment.

With video, yes and not with a kit len, for photos with a kit len, oh hell no...lol.
