Hi again,

Sorry if this question has been asked before, and sorry if i ask a lot, hehehe but i always value what others answering me and i don't rush myself into any final decision until i think about it many times.

Well, i shoot sports for few years now, and i really have fun doing it, but i feel i need to have a bit of change or upgrade or replacement in my gear to be updated somehow or if it will help to have better output somehow.

I want to know if you have a choice to go with 1D2n or 7D only for sports, which one will be your choice? Say you will be using 70-200 f2.8L IS [mk1] or maybe mkII, which of those 2 bodies will be your choice? I know 1 series AF is way better and also robust body build, but the technology and IQ on that new bodies sometimes outperforms of the old bodies, i saw that 1Ds3 outperform my 5Dc and 1Ds2 no mercy, what will be that 1D2n against 7D overall if we ignore the video capability?

I was thinking to get 7D without sacrificing 1D2n, i may try to sell my 30D to fund 7D, but in all cases, if i will get enough budget then i may able to buy 7D without sacrificing my 1D2n and i will let my 30D to go with no regret at all, hope that day of getting 7D without 1D2n out will be soon.

Those two bodies are simular in the ability to track moving objects. A slight edge in my opinion to the 1d series. Resolution and more room for cropping goes to the 7d. I've had the MII and now the 7d and say they are both awesome bodies, but I need more resolution for what I do now.

My sister, the professional baker and cake decorator once told me that my camera takes great pics. My reply was that I thought her oven baked great cakes.

Thank you for your input.

I don't need more resolution for sports, 8-12mp are more than enough, so with my 10mp 1D3 i am very happy, i wish to have 1D4 for sure and never look back for 7D or even 1D2n, but now the budget is not possible for 1D4 or even used 1D3 which i will not go with used camera, will save in the future for 1D4 for sure, 7D is cheap camera for me because it is less than$1500 range, but i will not do that purchase until i am sure about it if necessary.

Both are good cameras for what you intend to do but you will love the build quality of the 1D series hands down.

Ofcourse i love the build quality of 1 series, i have 4, 2 are 1D, so no question there, but i am talking about the image quality or photos look, doesn't matter by which body is.
