Hello all,
I do mostly event photography and in all my packages, I'll also include a DVD slideshow of the photos with titles, animations, and some videos of key moments of the event. People love it so much but I don't like the resolution of my images viewed on tv??? Even an iPhone pic is better. I'm currently using Foto Magico 3 on an iMac i5, i select Foto Magico's option to do a 1080p, 720p, or even regular, but the images are still horrible??? My question is what software do you use for a high resolution slideshow on a Mac with titles, animations, music, and videos?
Thanks in advance...

No matter what the size of the images they will always be seen at the screen's resolution, so this is out of your control. Including a HD TV in the package could cut into your profit margin rather severely.

Lol!!! But even on my HD TV, the pictures are looks horrible, the pictures were much better when a lot of people had the regular tube TVs and i usually encode them in 4:3 resolution.

Ive had good success with "ProShow Gold." When I produce a slideshow, I always crop my photos to 1920x1080 or 1280x720 prior to loading them into the ProShow program. This way, I have control over down-sizing the images and do not rely on the software to do it for me. It might be possible that your software does a lousy job of downconverting the images to HDTV pixel dimensions (1080 or 720). If you dont do so already, crop your photos to 1920x1080 or 1280x720 prior to loading them into your software.

Proshow (PC only) does a great job with 1080p slideshows (which is what goes on blu ray), and exe (windows only) slide shows. DVDs aren't great, but DVD are really old and low resolution now.

Too bad for me... I'm using a Mac, but I'll dust off my windows 7 desktop and see what happen.

I did a slideshow using aperture 3 and saved it at 1020p and 720p. The 1020 version turned out quite nicely. I think you can download a trial and give it a try.

Oh, be sure to adjust image quality in the preferences.
