thats what i noticed... it was raining in New mexico as i was out walking the town and I got to thinking the battery grip (it is a BG-E4) doesn't look like it should be getting wet (I notice there is not rubber seal between the batter door on the grip or between the camera and the grip

There is a partial seal, but it won't stop water from getting inside there if partially submerged (unlike the L-series mount flanges). For rainy weather, it will do the job--its impossible for water to drip up inside the body battery compartment unless you flip it upside down. The grip itself should be adequately sealed against water, so it won't blow out your body. Note that ONLY bodies with weather sealing would have matching grips with weather sealing. Official grips for bodies like the t2i are not sealed in any way.

i know im resisting hahaha

i know Ive got 60+ days of paid leave i never use it but once a year and normally ill take a whole month off (paid mind you) I didnt take any for the last 2 years so im gonna have some fun this coming year as i take random weeks off :)

We did that last year. We had plenty of time saved up, because we were so busy in '09 and '10, so we took a month off (paid, naturally), and travelled in Australia. Would love to do that again :D

It is a good price for anyone not in New York. May never see it that cheap (new) again.

i will be going back home yes but will be doing some traveling with my brother.... probably a lot of snowboarding (thinking Lake Tahoe or Mammoth) possibly do new years in Vegas... I like being able to take this much time off of work but some times i wish i were back in high school (or at least my job operates like such) that way i can get every summer off

:lol::lol: Lake Tahoe is very nice. Love to snowboard myself. I head up to the mountains every other year for my birthday to spend time on the slopes :D

Exactly that 300 savings is what i will pay in taxes if i bought it right now so it would be like getting the original price "tax free"

Shawnee or Camelback in the Poconons. This way my friends can make it over. Usually we go for 4 days / 3 nights to celebrate my birthday. Snowboard, Sky, Tubbing etc. Lots of fun and relaxing.

Yes. They don't have a physical presence but do collect taxes.
