I dont think I would have gone from a 7D to a 1D2 if you mostly shoot landscapes but congrats!

Downgrading isn't something you typically congratulate someone for.

If you're shooting a 14mm 2.8, the 1d2 is a better choice vs 7d for landscapes. More MP simply can't make up for that difference in FOV

Jake went with the 1d2 since he got the housing for it (or part of his reasoning). Hopefully this helps him shoot surfing photos (which he seems to like). ;)
