Gear talk, on the last cruise, I only brought one body, removed the grip and walked around with the 24-105 on the 5D2... Still bulky. Is the M9 a good walk around or too much money versus the mirror less variants lik Olympus, Fuji etc Which should i get , Olympus refurbished PEL is only $299 at Adorama... How is the used pricing on M8 and M9... The M9 is still up there in price used. Around $5800-$6000. I think you might benefit keeping it light with a micro 4/3 camera. You'll still have flexibility with changing lenses imo.

I might buy the Olympus for my wife, same way the ipad I am using was her mothers day gift in 2010. Cheers,

Why are some babies and some old farts alike?

I like your thinking. You buy it for your wife as a gift and then use it for personal.

I didn't hate it/them, but I wasn't overly impressed. AF was exceedingly slow. I hear that getting the EP3 would correct that. Had mine mated to the 20mm 1.7 all the time--great lens. Don't even bother using the 45-200mm
