Had it, only just recently sold off the 14-42mm lens. Prepare for some relatively slow shooting. The lens build quality is pretty bad, and the lrelease takes some getting used to--but it produces some decent images. Upgrade to the Panasonic 20 1.7 right away

I like how he breaks down how many models there actually are. A total of eight!

• E-P1 - 06/09 The original Olympus PEN digital mirrorless camera.
  
• E-P2 - 11/09 An update of the E-P1 which added an electronic accessory port and slightly better AF
  
• E-PL1 - 02/10 A "lite" version of the E-P2 with somewhat simplified controls and a slightly smaller LCD, but now with a built in flash and a revised TruePix V image processor yielding slightly better image quality. Max shutter speed is 1/2000s (vs 1/4000s for P1 and P2)
  
• E-PL1s 11/10 Basically identical to the E-PL1 but with a slightly higher capacity battery

• E-PL3 06/11 Slight physical redesign, plus tilting LCD and updated menu

• E-P3 06/11 Current "top of the line" model. Faster AF, higher resolution touch sensitive fixed LCD screen and 1080i60 HD movies in AVCHD format.

It's not a bad price, IF you sell off the 14-42mm... you can get $100 for the lens itself after fees and shipping cost. $200 for an Epl1 isn't bad at all. I was spoiled with the 20mm 1.7 ($300). Such a great lens Again, the 14-42mm puts out very good images for a kit lens... very much like Canon's 18-55 IS equivalent.

while on the cruise, I watched the next table in the restaurant and she was taking all good photos using her iPhone with flash..ybefore I got my 5D2, I used to be prolific in tweeting and FB sharing with my blackberry, now I still do but need to shoot on 5D2 into iPad into post porcess using now speedsee, then into smug photo to my smugmug then using smugmug to twitter and facebook.
