I feel what you mean. Right now even if I had the lenns I probably wouldn't have the patience for it. I mean I can barelty wait 2 days for a lens to come

I might but i fear it to be a bit too long on crop for indoor use (NYC apartments can be very tight). I already run into a few problems with 50 so that is why i don't go for the 85. When i go FF it will be a lens to buy for sure! But! In the warmer temps and 85 is magic outside for me

The 35L I bought refurbed through Canon just came in, and boy is it nice. This thing had to be brand new/overstock. UZ06 date, not a mark on the mount contacts. Sharp as a tack and accurate to boot! And it was only $1030

It was during their 15% refurb sale the other day. All of the good stuff was OOS when the sale started--the 35L was the best deal they had going. They had lots available. And 29 5D2 bodies for $1700

Yeah, I can understand that. Seriously though, I'd rent the 500L, 600L, or 800L and take it out birding for weekends
