I dont swear by them but as an alternative to a dedicated macro lens it is a good option if you dont shoot too much in that genre. Nothing can beat a dedicated macro like the 100 or 100L. I hear the sigma 150 is very very good.

The sigma 150 macro is very good. I owned the non-OS version, and it was a spectacular lens for the price. It had problems with AI servo on a 7d though. For the price, I'd take the 100L over the 150 OS macro

100L is very good also but if you dont want to invest too heavily into macro than the regular 100 is still a solid pick up.

The pre-usm 100 is very good as well--optically the equal of the USM version. The AF is the noisy old screw-drive, and the barrel extends, but it's otherwise the same thing for $100 less. It convinced me to get the 100L

Wish I had a printer to print a few of my shots. But for me it isn't a necessity right now, maybe I can convince my mom to get a new one somehow.

Deals on the Pixma 9000 are always all over the place. People get them in deals with bodies and then flip them for around 200 dollars. It is worth the pick up. I lucked out with a deal in which it cost me only 49 dollars :)*

*Will is still upset he missed out on that deal ;)

You don't know how to get to Wal-Mart, Costco, Sams, Wal-Greens, Rite-Aid, K-Mart, Target, Staples. etc? They've been printing digital images for years

I did the same thing--I only JUST finished using up the balance on that $200 prepaid card. The prints from my 9000 are stunners

Actually... I didn't think of that. I haven't ever gone there to print an image.

I used to head to wal-mart to print off dozens of 4x6 images for $0.05-$0.07 a shot.

This is a very interesting article--it is rather convenient that the Clippers managed to win Billups on waiver, after which they finally relented in trading Eric Gordon:

I have absolutely zero faith in the NBA at this point. I think I may stop paying attention to it altogether. I guess Football will be the sport I care about from now on.
