Nothing can beat a dedicated macro like the 100 or 100L. I hear the sigma 150 is very very good. The sigma 150 macro is very good. I owned the non-OS version, and it was a spectacular lens for the price. It had problems with AI servo on a 7d though. For the price, I'd take the 100L over the 150 OS macro
