It seems they have returned to the area.
I commonly see these feeding on the ground under feeders, but was pleasantly surprised to find them feeding off the ground.

I agree #2 is a great shot. I really like the interesting perch with the berry in its mouth and the contrast of the red against the bg with good comp. Well done.

Not just the red perch, which is nice in itself, but the pose, and the berry in the mouth. Combined with a nice o.o.f. BG. Also I tend to crop out big empty spaces, but I think it works well here.

I considered cropping more, but the image was cropped to begin with and I didn't think it would hold up to much more!
