Don't like to take any risks with only one battery, though it seems that it lasts forever...so I need another one for the recently aquired Ds MKIII (used).
I stumbled on this:
http://www.ebay.com …_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 (external link)
....and this:
http://www.ebay.com …Name=ADME:B:WNAFP:US:1123 (external link)
On the second, the sticker looks exactly the same when compared with the sticker on my "original" battery (ahm....not sure it's original either, though it has a SN and the ex-owner claims to be).
....but...another one, claimed "genuine" and way expensive, looks the same (note the lack of SN here):
http://www.ebay.com …ories&hash=item4ab0fb2477 (external link)
More,on the box it's a battery pictured without any imprinted sticker, more like the cheaper clones declared as "not made by Canon":
http://www.ebay.com …kid%3D4323598315017837740 (external link)
What's the catch?Wich is a clone and wich is a fake?
...and,in the end:if I go for a Canon-labeled one, does it behave OK in the charger and camera? (the "chip thing")
Thank you!
Regards,

PS
I read all POTN threads about Sterlingteks and Hähnels and whatever...good info but they're not available where I live.Aside,a visit to the local Canon dealer revealed that I don't have any more kidneys to sell....

JD,
Was looking through Ebay for batteries for my 60D, and like you Sterlingtek doesn't deliver to me (Australia), even though there are past posts saying they used to.
I ended up going through B&H, who DO deliver internationally and don't charge a fortune for it. My battery, which is well over $100 here was $62, and when I also bought a few SD cards at under 1/3 of the local price it was well worth the $25 delivery charge.

Not a solution I know, but another option. From what I read, Ebay really is a bit hit and miss when it comes to batteries. People tend to leave positive feedback asap so when the battery dies a week or a month later, or doesn't last the distance - feedback doesn't reflect this.
