Could be a money maker. I've noticed that the classifieds section of this forum usually asks about 10-15% more than standard retail price for their used lenses.

I've noticed that 5D II's are sometimes going for 100+ more than their retail $1999 price :P

I just saw this. Previously I saw it at $1014. I'm very tempted. Not sure I can get the wife on board with this one at this time though. I might make the pitch tonight and see how harsh the disgusted comments come back to judge if it's worth pushing harder...

I think it's $75. BH had it for $1034 before the rebate. When the rebate started, they raised their price to land at $1014 like everyone else. Now they took $75 off their original price of 1034. After tomorrow I bet it goes back to $1034.

Oh ok, I was gonna say cuz amazon is like 1015, so to me thats like 50 bucks. Like you said, BH had it higher though. Still doesnt seem that great. That's just me though

It's not earth shattering, but if you were going to buy this anyway, $75 is $75. After tomorrow, they will likely all be back to $1034. Used they are $850-900, so this makes the gap to get a new one pretty small.
