There are a three reasons why I would choose a Pro 1 or G6 over a Powershot S2IS:
They take CF cards
They use a BP511 battery
They have a hotshoe
Don't forget the L lens

I have an XT and a pro1 and the lens on the pro 1 when compared to say my 28-135 IS is very noticable. Dont believe the nay sayers.. canon couldnt call it an L if it wasnt! I like my Pro1 and still use it, esp. for macro shots, the tilt swivel screen is a neck and backsaver. I hate lying on the floor or ground to get a good macro of a flower... http://www.theanimalhaven.com

I somehow don't think that's what he had in mind, I'm really getting to like this camera now (apart from the slow focusing and terrible shutter lag) but I really wish they'd put the manual focus button some where else. I did a wedding today and used it as a second camera, the amount of times I was scratching my head as to why the dam thing wouldn't focus when all I'd done was catch the manual focus button with my thumb. I have to say that on the whole this little camera was yealding better pictures than my 20D with the 580ex (can't make up my mind how much flash to give you) flash gun on it.
