Whats your goals for christmas pictures this season?

On Christmas morning, going up the local hill overlooking Denver, decorate a plant (probably a Yucca) and take a picture of it with the sunrise. I did this last year and want to make it a tradition.

In texas they have a section of highway that gets decorated each year.

Spring Mill State Park is East of Mitchell, Indiana. They only do it for two nights. I would think that NJ has something like it going on.

Here's a few of the pictures from the Spring Mill Christmas event. My tripod is broke and I hope Santa is bringing me a new one. As it is I had to use a monopod and I am still learning to use my new to me 40D. I hope to have everything down pat for next year!

We have established a tradition of taking multiple shots of community christmas decorations, church scene, different homes that are well decorated, and Christmas morning with the family. Process and put the two daughters to work on making a cd slide show with music etc. Sometimes the girls add there on brand of humor via PS etc. I have found this to be a good way to exercise and improve ones camera/lens knowledge especially late evening and night time shoots etc. I find it a enjoyable useful project each year. We make several copies and mail to our distant family relatives, all seem to enjoy and history is recorded...
