As it seems pretty much every photographer out there had an 11/11/11 wedding, lucky for me, I was able to bail out of the Midwest and shoot my 11/11/11 in sunny Sarasota FL. Just a simple yet elegant beach wedding.

I have been to beaches on both coasts of Mexico, all through the Caribbean and Bahamas, Miami, Ft Lauderdale, Key West, Ft Myers... and I have NEVER seen and touch sure pure white and soft sand as Siesta Key had.

C&C is always welcome and appreciated and you can the rest of their preview photographs, over at my blog. (external link)

Totally loving the star-trail shot. Did you do that in bulb in a single shot or... uh...how?

Number 4 is awesome! How did you get the subjects not to be all silhouette? External flash?

It is 40 exposures at 30 sec each, ISO 200, 24mm, f/5.6 stacked together using this photoshop action (external link).

If the venue make its feasible, I always try and do a star trail photo at the end of the night. Makes a great last page of the wedding album.

These are great shots. I like the star trail photo as well. That type shot is great for the couple to remember the venue.

One comment, in picture #7 I might remove the birds(?) flying around in the background. They are blurred enough that it is not distinguishable as to what they are and it may be nice to have a clean sky so all attention is on the couple.

Great, great pics...I have only one small criticism on the first one, which for some reason is actually my favorite. Not sure if you used fill-flash, but if the sandals were just a bit brighter I think it would be perfect. Otherwise, my eyes get drawn to the bright horizon

I think those are dust spots.

Brilliant exposure, beach wedding can be tricky to shoot, especially on a bright day like this

7D | 100 2.8L IS | 70-200 2.8L IS | 24-70 2.8L | 50 1.4 | Tam 18-270mm | Tam 17-50 2.8 | Sig 30 1.4 |
