Adorama has it for 1859 USD now...! Amazing to see someone actually sold a used copy at 1800 USD last week, on this forum. New price would be even less than 1800 if you use Mr.Rebates.

Seeing that you're in expensive Europe, you guys must love ordering photo equipment from the U.S. What do you pay extra in ordering from the U.S. other than additional shipping? Taxes, customs duties...? Just curious. And are you elgible for Mr Rebates as well?

Lenses are quite a bit pricier in Europe, compared to a lot of other nations worldwide.

Customs is a problem indeed so you have a couple of choices; either pay the taxes like you're supposed to, pray your shipment isn't get caught by customs or know someone in the States that can order the lens for you. ;-)a The extra costs involve VAT (19% for the Netherlands for instance) + like 6.7% tax (for lenses).

However, there are companies in for instance Hong Kong that have VAT-guarantee. When your package is 'caught' by customs, they will provide you with a full tax-refund.

Cheapest price for the TS-E 24mm II is 1868 euros in the Netherlands, that's approximately 2500 USD.

So yeah, even with extra taxes, it might be cheaper to buy in the States ;-)a

It's a good deal imo. Buy this and the 17 TS and be done with it. ;)
