I tried searching it but ...... didn't really get the results i was looking for. I'm wondering how to reproduce this style of presentation:

https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1116079

simple kind of neat collage. I see it all the time in the wedding and engagement forums

thanks in advanced clearly I'm not the best with photo shop but if someone can point me to a good tutorial or something it would help.

Nothing good lol

I can't point you to a tutorial but I can tell you that it's quite simple to do. Start off by creating a new PS file from scratch and choose your background color. From there, open the images you would like to use in your collage and drop them onto your new file using the "move" tool (shortcut "v"). Once you get them placed as new layers on the document, use "free transform" to make them whatever size you wish and position them where you want. It's really quite easy :)

This has been a subject that has been discussed here in the past. I looked at some of the threads that I found by simply searching "collage" in the post processing forum. Many of them have basic instructions and some have third party applications for doing it. If you have photoshop there is no need to have a third party app for it. YouTube has lots of examples on this as well and if you look at this one (external link) you will see lots of others in the right column.

The basics is make yourself a new document and then use file-place to bring in your image. I like this method because it will open as a smart object and you can resize it to your liking. Each image will come in as a new layer and then you can add whatever you like to your background or text. I suggest creating your new document and then placing guides where you want the images to adhere to.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

I was searching "simple collage" "how to make a collage" and was coming up with overlapping type of collage pictures. Either way thank you for looking at this thread and replying I appreciate it. :)

the photoshop method with smart objects as mentioned above is worth learning. you can also achieve same with lightroom in the print module. there is a work-around whereby you can make the "picture package" setting work for more than one image.

Lightroom also has template that you modify or even create your own too.

For LR2. LR3 can do that by default.

Here's an Adobe TV tutorial on making a "triptych":

http://tv.adobe.com …kost/creating-a-triptych/ (external link)

FYI, a triptych is the term of three images arranged together. A polyptych means "more than one" together. So, you could get more info on this by searching for one/both of those terms!
