Some of the cuts didn't seem to flow, pan on an area then a simlar area, it felt like some frames were dropped, I'd go for a different area of the car each time. Also seemed a bit tedious before getting to the on road shots.

I thought it was rather good and actually liked the way a locating shot was used prior to the close up (though not wishing to seem contrary to artyman) as it put the view in context rather than play the "I wonder where that bit is" game.

Talking of location, it did seem a bit strange that the location of the vehicle changed mid way through the static shots.

I thought the road shots we OK but, despite different locations, a bit samey and repetitive. Some static shots with the car driving by might have helped, and/or the Audi accelerating past the camera car, or keeping station and then accelerating. It was fairly obvious that you were limited to filming out of a side window and, with the static shots being of such high quality I expected more for the moving shots.

I liked the way the video ended with the static shots of the car at night but found the flashing lights a bit distracting.

On the whole though, a nice record of a nice car.

Like John said, a nice record of a beautiful car.

I thought there were too many wide shot to wide shot cuts back to back to back. And obviously you love that slider! The same could be said of the slider shots back to back to back to... Throwing in a static shot or a rack focus in between would have broken up the sliding shots. Now that being said, the slider shots where you move straight in on the subject are different enough to not really be the same kind of movement as a side to side slider. A lot harder to do well, pulling focus and all, but it looks great! The shot of the engine covers was killer as was the sun flared shot into the interior of the car.

I think all the slider shots is where it got tedious in the beginning. I would have liked for it to get to the moving shots sooner. But again, something simple like changing up the focal length would have made quite the difference. Kind of hard to do if you only have one or two lenses.

With the moving shots, everything I said above holds true for the the second section. Too many of the exact same shots back to back. The shots of the car in the tunnel is a perfect example. But there were some really great shots in there that just need some better or different shots around them.

Over all a good effort that obviously needs some tweeking, but you know that. That's why you posted it here and asked for C&C. :)

Hopefully this helps some.

I liked it very much. I thought that your editing was very well done. Loved the Stanley Park (I assume) shots. There were a couple of shots on the road (1:35 & 1:49) where you could have used a bit of color correction to bring down the highlights as they were a bit blown out and the colour was rather flat. Other than that, the clip near the end where the couple comes walking out form being hidden by the car (2:33-2:35) could have been cut a couple of seconds earlier to get rid of that distraction. All in all, I think you did a great job. I liked the way you went from "reveal and exploration" to "hitting the road", to the "rest" at the end. Great locations too. Vancouver has a lot of those.

Keep up the good work.
