Ok so I don't really know what I am doing but I had some fun making these but haven't really tested them out much yet. Please feel free to tell me what you think. If you think I wasted my time or not etc.

So I got a couple of real old studio strobes for cheap. Bowens x400 and x200.

They did not have any reflectors. I also couldn't find anything that would fit these.

I wanted to make them less bare bulbed so I built some reflectors/snoots of my own out of posterboard, tape, and Aluminum foil

I still wanted to control the light more so I took some strobist advice and built grids out of a few black Coroplast sheets. I made these are about 1 inch thick. I know that is longer then the ones you can buy. Should I cut them down? They do eat a lot of light.

Also made some for my other flashes.
