Tear it up. Send it to the moon. Kick it down a stairwell.

My head just exploded on the left side!

Meh, I don't know if I would do it again, but I can appreciate it for sure.

Seems even though the pic on the wall is dead straight, the optical elusion makes my left arm flale around. If it would be more balanced, I think not too bad... I like art.

The fact that you had a response is indicative of the imbalance which actually makes this image work. Two very different scenes create dissonance and in your case it sounds like it has an effect on your equilibrium. Thanks for the comment.

I like it! It has a message, it's clear, and all the image elements support it.

Suggestion: If you have a version of Photoshop that offers Content Aware Scaling, I'd love to see this "compressed" to a non-standard aspect ratio. Square perhaps?

I'd also remove the shadows at camera right and make it a clean wall all the way to the edge of the frame.

Great concept and I agree that all the elements support the theme. Looking forward to more in the series! :D

I like the idea. I think a different crop would help strengthen it. I looked at 11x14 and that seemed to work pretty well. Removing the object in the upper left corner and cropping off the odd shadows to the right really make it pop. One other little thing....notice where the shadow from the stop sign, trash can and the tree fall? Now look at the shadow from the "art", it falls the opposite direction. Put the shadow to the right and it will make the art look like it was actually in the image.

Move the picture to the left and make the shadows of the tree fall on the photo.
Also...make the drop shadow fall the same direction as the rest of the shadows in the image.
I agree with cropping off the right side to get rid of the shadows in on the right. Try the square format for this, it'll look great.
Great Impact!

Here's another version ...

Light is coming in from multiple sources (check out the stop sign shadows) and the shadow in the picture is based on the shadow on the extreme right. There are 2-3 light poles and a bank across the street illuminating this and I haven't been able to figure out how to get multiple shadows on all sides of the picture because I would if I could.

Thanks for input on the crop and morphing. I may do that however this image is highly experimental and will be re-shot on MF film if I decide to produce a series based on this approach. Jay I have CS5 and tried to warp but have nearly zero time with this tool. Removing the extreme right shadows is not that easy unless I crop. I think it reminds us that this is a part of the street scene wall.

Can you include part of what's throwing the shadow at lower right? Might "bookend" whatever that is at upper left...

Jay there is a large truck on the right side that I didn't include it in the frame. The shadows are the hood most likely. The left is a street corner and shows sidewalk into a deeper scene of the town. Later I may wish to capture that or find even better walls to shoot. I am not nuts about the (wall) capture quality of the low light hand held 1/2 second wide open exposure either.

OK thanks everyone.
