Henry,
the B&W version of this pictures works better for me...
you did an excellent work here, good luck with the contest! Is this an original shot or you added the girl to the background? I am looking forward to your tutorial,
thanx for sharing,

You might kill me.

Too much PS and the hair is not real. It is more a PS contest than photo contest.

Very nice, I like the B/W version. So was the girl extracted and put in that background?

Oh im so gonna come after u!!!! :)

No i am glad you are honest, while giving me critism. Its the only way I can improve.

Thanks!

But I don't agree that using photoshop to change a picture makes it anyless a photo. I think it just makes it more interesting when I needs to be, which isn't a bad thing. Imagine the film, starwars without special effects :) or any movie with out color calibration, bluescreening, light enhancing etc...

Thanks for all the comments guys!

and yeah, the girl was lifted off of a background. the contest consisted of me and hundreds of other photographers taking pictures of models inside a model and the setting wasnt very interseting so I wanted to put some new meaning into it.

heres the original

You have a real gift with post processing work. I'm sure you have spent a lot of time behind the computer working on it but I believe that this is something that requires more than a textbook to achive. Great work here. Thanks for sharing.

[EDIT] I would love to see a tutorial on your process, but remember that a magician never reveals his tricks....
