Whooo-pee. Final fantasy and anime come together on a blurred street!

Did you use Maya for the hair?

give me your contact!

Sorry I was from Vancouver, but in HK now.

I know where is the location of that background. :D

The idea of the effect is great like the Chinese movie " 風雲 "

As we have 8 computer graphic designers working in our company and 2 under my team, so I am very picky. :o You may need couple more days or even weeks to really fine tune the model's edges, hair, light & shadow (the model & background) to make it look natural.

Unless, you are looking for a very powerful impact effect, but still need fine turning in the model's arm, hair & hand etc....:p

No i painted it in in photoshop.

The street picture is suppose to be out of focus (short depth of field). I made sure depth of field should be considered, hence why her arms are sorta out of focus while her face was in focus. And the street really out of focus. Think of the shot shot at F1.8 or something. It was a long shutter picture on a rainy day in montreal. Used ND filters shot at 100 ISO.

Final Fantasy because shes asian? lol.

Will post it in another thread tomorrow, which is one of our products + Model shot that took with 503 in positive (can't afford any digital back), drum scan and spent over weeks to fine tune and touch up. We spent that many time may be because our team is great in vector scale AI but not good in PS or 3D rendering.

Henry,

You have an interesting style....kind of like traditional airbrush illustration combined with photography - the results have a slightly surreal context, I like them very much.

Thanks for the comment. I really want to get to the point where the airbrushing I am doing to create this picture looks so real that people wont think it was done with some airbrushing. :)

But then does it not become illustration rather than photography? I think theres a market for your existing look....maybe location fashion.
