I once picked up a Nikkor 85/1.8-H beater of a lens...I know it's a Nikkor, but I thought this might make for a nice thread...
Even with peeling flecks of paint on the inside, it takes fine pix...so if you see an oldie with dust and specks of ??? inside, don't immediately reject it...it might just be fine...

LET'S SEE THE BEST OF YOUR WORST...Nikkors ... Canons too.... and Olys, Takumars, Vivitars, Sigmas...etc....

Here's what it looks like inside...(the outside isn't much better)...

This was taken with a 1964 Jupiter 9 M39 SLR lens (85mm f2). The lens is similar to the original post of the Nikor in that the inside paint is cracked. A wonderful chrome pre set lens and it was given to me.
