Hi there,

Im looking to sell my 60d, which I have had for around a year now - It is in good overall condition and works fantastically.

I will be looking to sell it with my 18-55mm kit lens, samyang 8mm fisheye and non-canon battery grip. It will come boxed, with 60d strap, a 16gb sd and 2 8gb sd cards and 3 batteries
Problem that I have is price.... (UK)

What would that all be worth and do I sell it on ebay etc or do I trade it in (part ex) for a 5dmk ii?

thanks

Don

I think if you put it on ebay or in the classifieds here you would be looking to get about £750, then take off ebay and paypal fees you would be lucky to get £700. Thats about half way to a 5DMkII body, at hdewcameras they're selling the body only at £1425 and £2025 for the bady and 24-105 f4 L lens. It might be an idea to look at mpb photographic or similar places to ask about a trade in price as they are generally higher than a straight sale.
I got my 5DMkII about a month ago and its a fantastic camera, you wont be disappointed. Good luck in your search.

I sold my 3 month old 60D with 18-135, 55-250, 75-300 for 1150$. couple of hundred bucks loss but it was a good price for me and the buyer. Threw in 100$ worth of UV Filters. Bought the Canon 5d MII + 24-105 on the amazon deal for 2750$. Way worth it.

Good Idea!! I own both camera models. And my 5DmkII blows my 60D out of the water, no comparison.

They are both good cameras but the ISO performance of the 5D2 is better by about 2 stops or so making it a better camera for indoors and low light. The 60D does have a few features I like so I end up using both cameras pretty equally.

The other obvious is full frame vs APS-C. If your using EF lenses this is also an important factor since you get a much wider view.

as a music photographer the ISO feature is a decent shout as is the full frame too - build quality as well - cant wait to get it, even though I love the 60d, its a next progressive step I feel.
