While visiting West Virginia, we had the opportunity to drive many back roads and enjoy the fall color. Here are a few samples.

Very pretty scenes, Stan - well worth stopping and getting out of the car!

Beautiful landscape and great photographs, Stan. Have to agree with Don about #3.

Thanks, Don & Levina. It's good to see a couple birders in "Landscapes". The fall colors during our stay were sometimes muted by cloudy, even rainy, days, but #3 was shot on a brilliant afternoon. I agree it is the pick here.

I appreciate it, Marcy. You've had such a good year, missing fall color is a small thing. You know, I thought about John Denver a lot while in WV, wondering if he had actual ties there.

Hi Bret, it's good to hear from you. I've gotten away from birds temporarily, since I was busy chasing waterfalls in my travels. I will be returning to birds next week as we take a trip to Big Cypress and the Everglades.
