There have been times I've wanted to shoot with a shallow DOF in my studio with multiple strobes and had no solution for the 200L f2. I have ND filters and step up rings to use with my other lenses. Someone in another thread suggested getting a Kodak Wratten ND filter and cutting it to size. I was a little stunned by the cost of a 3"x3" filter, but I found the dimensions and shape for the drop-in filter in the 200L user manual. After carefully cutting it to size, I placed it over the clear glass in the drop in filter. My strobes were metered to f8, and I shot at f2.8. I did have trouble focusing with the reduction in light at first but worked around that. My test subject was less than thrilled, but the filter seemed to work as expected.
