Shichi go san, Japan

Shichi go san is a traditional festival day in Japan, when parents take their children to temples and shrines, dressed up in beautiful kimonos. It is held annually on November 15.

I was at Heian Jingu in Kyoto this day, and gave my brand new 70-200 a proper test run.

Nice DOF. In #1, you have cut her head off and that is a pity as it just looks so natural. They are good and I would be pleased with them.

Heartwarming pictures! But how do you shoot children like this? Do you ask their parents first? If i took candid photos of children here in Europe, someone would probably call the cops.
