When I turned 40 my wife gave me a card that said I could start counting backwards (biggest mistake she ever made!). So I'm 30 today! Half a century...wow.

I'm sure having fun with my G3. When I got it a month ago I'd never thought I'd have as much fun with it as I did my first (and only) SLR in 1968. Beats the heck out of the Argus rangefinder I began with. What a blast!! Kicking and screaming I will be drug into the 20th century (I'm still not ready for the 21st).

Have a great day, all.

-CPW

Happy Birthday, CPW!

You're 30... with 20 years experience!

I know what you mean about the technological leaps. I mean, how long before we're wet-wired to a system that captures images right through our eyes!

"Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself." Yikes!

CPW:

Congratulations! Getting any new toys to celebrate your youth? :-)

I'm 30-13, myself, and look forward to when I'm in my 30-30's and can retire and spend all my time on hobbies...

Congratulations. An observation--In 2 weeks I turn 73. If you think buying a G3 and learning how to use it is a challenge wait a few more yearsl

Hey CPW, a VERY Happy Birthday from someone crowding the the 6th decade....hard to believe isn't it? How time flies! I'm sure you don't feel your age or see it when you look in the mirror ;).

I hope you have many more enjoyable G3 (or later) birthdays.

Regards,
Peter

Older, perhaps wiser. Doesn't always show in me (the wiser bit, that is). And the G36 will be out. Order yours today!

We're gonna keep trying, Frederique. The film's cheap, right? (P.S. I've noticed the O is sticking on your keyboard a lot lately. Does it have anything to do with a style sheet?)

That's what brought me to this forum - my new toy! And as for hobbies, sounds like you and I have a few in common (astronomy, photo, age...).

Thanks, 2Hog, and congratulations to you too! Sounds like you're doin' OK with the G3, though!

Thanks, PacAce! Maybe the term is pentagenarian. What do you think? Sound good?

Boy, you got that straight, Peter. I look at old photos and wonder why that beard was so dark. Hasn't it always been salt-and-pepper? Feels the same...sort of. Little glitch here, little pain there. No big deal, right?

Thanks, Doug, and a happy birthday in advance to you. May you have more sun and northern lights. We expect to see some pics, OK?

Yes it does. Sounds a lot more optimistic, too! :D

BTW, lovely family you have there.

CowboyPoetWannabe,

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOO!! Stylesheets....My birthday is soon approaching as well. June 4th. is right around the corner. Age, it can be beautiful when it is someone else.

I am not getting any older, this is my last year, from now on, I will be the same age forever. And, NO I AM NOT SAYING WHAT AGE I AM.

LOL

Again, happy birthday, just one question is it everyday? Was it yesterday? Is it today? Will it be tomorrow?

lmao

May you be blessed always with good health, a loving family, a clear mind and plenty of money for cameras and camera accessories.

Smile,
