Date on Sandisk Ultra II CF Card

Hi,

Can anyone explain why when I open the card to download images it initally shows pictures as having been taken on 01/01/80 and the date pictures actually taken as the ' date modified'.

This date changes to the correct date when the picture thumbnails open and does not revert.

Can it be corrected?

Formatting does not correct it.

Not noticed on other manufacturers cards.

Doesn't seem to affect ability of card. Just an annoying puzzle.

Do you format the card in your camera or on your computer? Is the date in your camera set correctly?
