Nik Complete setup questions

So I just sprang for the upgrade to my old NIK software. I used the ps plugin prior, but since i have been mainly using lightroom I got the lightroom plugins instead. Most did not load automatically and I had to add them as an external editor. The questions I have is what settings do you use for both ps and nik (or other 3rd party editors) in the external editor.

TIFF or PSD

ProPhoto RGB
Adobe RGB
sRgb

8 or 16 bit

Resolution? defualt is 240.

For PS CS5 I have it set up as

PSD
Prophoto RGB
16 bit
300

For Nik softwear i have it the same with the exception of Tiff instead of PSD?

I am still learning when it comes to color space, bit depth and resolution so any tips or tricks are greatly appriciated.

I don't have the Nik software, so my only comment would be a concern about whether the Nik software properly handles the ProPhoto color space, PSD and 16-bit files. I'm sure someone here knows -- in the meantime, I'd imagine that the documentation for the Nik software would have some specs and recommendation...?

Since I am still a novice when it comes to his aspect, would you recommend that I stay with 8 bit srgb?

Well, the best way of learning is to try!

Now, as to whether you need to be in 8 bits or 15 bits is another question. I've always used 16 bits until I have to convert to 8 bits. So you may need to do that for some plug-ins or filters. Nik may be like that.

But, you also can give thought to your workflow -- at some point 16 bits becomes pointless, and it is up to you to decide when that is the best point, rather than leaving it up to just randomly using a plug-in or filter.

As you've been using the NIK software, I just tried the Trial Vivesa 2 from LR running on a PC. Is there any way to maximize the Vivesa window to full screen? When it lauches from LR3 it is less than Maximized.

I will have to check, since I use a 27 inch iMac it has always. Even large enough, when I get home I will look.
