calibrated and pics are yuck

i have a acer laptop , and when printing on my canon pixmamg6150 printer the results just did not match the pic on the display so i calibrated using a pantone huey , and all went well , then i opened a folder i had my pics in and they looked fine , then when i double clicked to open in windows live photo gallery , everything was blochy , pink/red , it was horrible , so i opened in cs5 and the same , pictures looked horrible , so i changed the colour management settings to the pantone profile and also in photoshop to see if that would help but still no luck, pictures are a mess , any ideas what i have to do to correct it as the pantone huey said it calibrated the monitor ok .

You don't set the monitor profile anywhere in PS.

The OS should use the monitor profile, PS picks it up from there.

Sounds like either your images are too red, or your monitor profile isn't correct.
How did you calibrate (what settings)?

Post an image maybe?

thanks for the reply , i used the settings that the pantone huey told me to use , ive took it off now because of the way it made my pictures look , will put it on again later and upload a pic.

found out my pantone huey is broke
