ToddLambert I don't like titles More info | Nov 27, 2011 23:58 | #1 I'd love to know if anyone else likes this as much as I do? For some reason this image really speaks to me and is one of my favorite images in recent times. I really like the simplicity of the image and the balance. This is almost SOOC, no crop, no sharpening, nothing. I only removed 3 hot pixels. I have a few other compositions of this, but this was my favorite. If anyone is interested and wants to see the other ideas I had for this image, let me know. Any ideas or criticism, please let me know. I'm trying to figure out what I like about this one so much and if it's just me or what. Thanks!

The dead black area on the left takes away from what is otherwise a great photo! 5D Mark II, 5D Classic, 17-40mm f/4.0L, 24-105mm f/4.0L, 70-200mm f/4.0L IS, 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L, 50mm f/1.2L, 85mm f/1.2L, 300mm f/4.0L IS, 400mm f/2.8L IS, 600mm f/4.0, 800mm f/5.6L, 100mm f/2.8L

Nov 28, 2011 10:33 | #6 Thanks everyone... I wasn’t sure if it would be too much black or if that would be okay. I sort of like the amount of black, because of the hole in the rock on the left, which I think balances the composition. I will try the square comp though, because I think you may be right.

More info | Nov 29, 2011 10:07 | #13 I wasn't totally sold on the first image. Part of me liked it, part of me struggled with all the black. The square crop sells the image. Nice edit.
