Nice capture, Jan. It looks like some of her wing and tail feathers are showing a lot of wear, and will be replaced in the future when she molts.

I was driving on an old logging road around sunrise, a few years ago, when a mountain lion appeared right in front of my pickup dragging a freshly killed doe across the road. It looked up, and our eyes met for a moment. The cat's cold stare made me feel so happy that I was surrounded by a well build truck. Had I been hiking, I'm sure a totally different emotion would have surfaced. :-) That's the only time I've seen a lion in the wild.

Oh yeah...I guess a "love it" button would be nice.
