Recently moved to AZ from CA and noticed one of these buzzing around my property every morning. It took me a while to identify it.

Immature great horned owl that just fledged. And then fell out of a tree. Twice. But it was ok and returned to it.

Mom outside her nest. The little ones getting so big there is no room for mom as well. Time for her to leave the nest and just guard from a close distance.
