Thanks LD :) They're very cute, and there were thousands of them squabbling and fighting amongst each other in their monsoon forest roost at Manngarre in Kakadu National Park.

This fledgling fell right in front of my door as I was about to go in. I thought it was injured but it flew away a moment later. Was this a young cardinal? I think its parents had built a nest in my holly tree.

Black-necked stilt. It's really unusual to see so much color in their eyes. There's usually just a hint of red.
