That looks like an ugly quite large insect. What country is this in? What is the insect?

Awesome!
I think black and white is an overlooked aspect of wildlife photography.

:-D:-DIndiana (Brown County)! It is a Tiger Beetle. Hollyweird missed an opportunity not using them as a model for a horror movie. Can't you see the blond caught in those mandibles? They aren't very big - less than an inch. They are quite common in Indiana - look for them in April and May. Here is a post on them from the past with a link on this interesting but mean! looking predator. ;-)a

You probably just never noticed them - just saw a small, green bug. The macro lens opens up a new world, turning pretty, small green beetles into MONSTERS!!!:-D

HAHAHA!!

They may be tiny, but I am sure if I saw one i I would know it to be something different from what I have seen before.

Now if my wife had seen one, she would have SCREAMED out in fear!!!

My new Windows wallpaper of the moment. What a look. I imagine I look like that often while at work, "You want it when???" Thank you, edmidlifecrisis.

It's my life and I'll get pissed if I want to.
