Found this mama protecting the nest she made on top of a six foot ladder in my backyard. The forecast predicted a week of rain, so I rigged up an umbrella to keep her and the future family dry. She didn't budge through out the whole ordeal.

Thanks LD, I'm not really sure what his expression means. I reckon though he was assessing whether he should bolt into the water for safety.

Note: the EXIF info for my recent images shows "Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS". I'm actually shooting an FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS lens. The POTN gear database needs to be updated.
