This was in Glacier Park a few years ago. These photographers were set up a few hundred yards from this grizzly as she was feeding on a hillside across the road.
She keep feeding closer, but still a reasonable distance.
She suddenly decided she had an appointment on the other side of the road, and walked though the throng of photographers, making sure not to make eye contact.
I don't think anyone acted irresponsibly. By the time it was apparent she was going to cross the road, it was too late to make a dash to the vehicles.
